Review by hotel critic
Nestled on the picturesque Via Maggio, the location itself is a feast for the senses, surrounded by antique shops and galleries that whisper tales of the past. The rooms, stylish and inviting, provided a comfortable haven reminiscent of a Florentine residence, complete with amenities like a refrigerator and a coffee machine that spoke to my need for practicality during my explorations. The lovely sisters, Francesca and Bea, were not just hosts but also wonderful local guides. Their recommendations for nearby restaurants and enthusiasm for arranging our travel logistics added a personal touch that was truly appreciated. While breakfast wasn’t provided, the thoughtful list of nearby options made up for it—though I did miss having a cup of espresso while admiring the stunning views of Piazza Santo Spirito. Traveling with colleagues, we shared our excitement about being a short stroll from iconic sites like the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens—luxuries that make one feel the rich history of Florence at every turn. I wholeheartedly recommend B&Beatrice to anyone yearning for a place steeped in character while enjoying all the conveniences of modern travel; I certainly look forward to a future visit!
